Thanks for the question. The screen's resolution is limited by the video transmitter inside the robot, which is why it's a lower quality than the saved video. While we are looking into HD transmitters they're much more expensive, so we're trying to find a balance between that cost and quality.

Thanks for the compliment. The GPK isn't an omnidirectional robot, it does rely on a differential drive movement system.

We recommend using these robots in relatively flat areas. That said it should be able to handle simple inclines. The primary factor that would cause a problem is the amount of snow being plowed on the incline, as that would create resistance that the robot would have to fight to climb.

Great question, the robotic platform in this video has a steel frame with aluminum extruded rails for attachment points.

That actually would be pretty hilarious. The ball part is a 360° camera so it'd even make aiming the hose pretty easy. The POV would be fun to watch.

i think it’s because as it extends up, there a couple of parts extending from left to right which makes the alignment slightly off center but reverts back to normal as it comes back down because it slides back into place going in reverse or right to left.

You're pretty much on the money there. The rear (right) part of the scissor lift is where the linear actuator is pushing/pulling from. That means the rest of the scissor lift will be pushed/pulled towards that. It's a slight offset but not enough to cause an imbalance.

Great question! We've had customers ask this before and while it's possible, the power consumption of the robot would likely outpace any panel that could fit on it. Now, it's possible you could use a solar panel to power components on the unit instead, or increase the operating time of the unit by a margin.

Or charge the main batteries when the robot is not in use? Like the Mars rovers :) - This could be useful if the robot was used remotely@@SDRobots

Great questions! It uses a standard mower which means we recommend only mowing material/groundcover you would hit with a normal mower. The main concern with tackling thick or tall groundcover would be the raw amount of cuttings/grass lifting the front of the unit or choking the mower. We recommend that if you're tackling thick or tall cover on a slope to take it slow and steady. As for the toughest terrain it can mow, we've tested the unit on slopes up to 40° without issue. It has 4-wheel drive giving it some solid power to traverse slopes and uneven ground.

Hey there, this model is not watertight or waterproof and does not float. We would recommend not driving this into a body of water.
